How it Works

Funding Support for Families
Affordability Grant
For children aged 0 years - Kindergarten
The Alberta Affordability Grant is available to eligible families with children enrolled in participating licensed childcare programs. Families do not need to apply for the grant. The funding is provided directly to participating programs and reduces your childcare fees. Learn more about eligibility and current fee reductions below.
Child Care Subsidy
For children in Full-Day Kindergarten - Grade 6
Eligible families may qualify for financial assistance to help cover the cost of licensed childcare. Families must apply through the Government of Alberta and meet the program’s eligibility requirements. Learn more about eligibility, how to apply, and how the subsidy can reduce your childcare fees.
